PoolStats Privacy Policy
PoolStats is a pool logging and analytics app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app stores, how that information is used, and what optional sharing features are available.
Information PoolStats stores
- Match, practice, rack, drill, goal, and analytics data you create in the app.
- App preferences such as theme and language settings.
- Optional account metadata used for Sign in with Apple, such as your Apple user identifier and, when provided by Apple, your display name and email address.
- Optional social data you choose to publish or share, such as a public display name, friend code, saved friends, opponent notes, and shared match records.
How PoolStats uses information
- To save your sessions, drills, goals, and app settings on your device.
- To sync your data with your iCloud account through CloudKit when sync is available.
- To let you optionally create a public player profile, add friends, and share match records with other users you choose.
- To calculate your in-app statistics, trends, dashboards, and summaries.
CloudKit and iCloud sync
PoolStats uses Apple CloudKit for cloud sync. Session history and related app data may be stored in your iCloud-backed CloudKit containers so the app can keep your data available across installs and devices you authorize.
Social profile and sharing features may also use CloudKit records, including records in a public database when you intentionally publish a profile or share a match with another user.
Local device storage
PoolStats also keeps a local cache on your device so your sessions and settings persist across app launches and temporary sync failures.
Sign in with Apple
Sign in with Apple is optional. If you use it, PoolStats stores your Apple user identifier in the device keychain and may store your display name, email address, and last sign-in timestamp locally on your device for account display and sign-in state restoration.
Sharing and disclosure
PoolStats does not sell your personal information. PoolStats does not use your information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Information is shared only as needed to provide the app’s features, including:
- Apple services such as CloudKit and Sign in with Apple.
- Other PoolStats users when you intentionally publish a profile, add a friend, or share a match.
Data retention and deletion
Your locally stored data remains on your device until you delete it in the app, remove the app, or clear the underlying device data. Cloud-synced and socially shared records may remain in iCloud and CloudKit until they are deleted through app actions or account cleanup workflows.
Children’s privacy
PoolStats is not intended for children under 13 without parental permission.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. When the policy changes, the updated version will be posted at the policy URL with a revised effective date.
